Impressive features of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC

The redesigned 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is an all-rounder that beautifully melds elegance and performance, on and off-road. The new GLC is offered in both GLC 300 and Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 and GLC 63 trims, and offers a range of new technologies and features. We’ve talked about the new 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC in past articles, here we want to talk about what makes this model stand out in terms of new technologies.

All-Rounder Capabilities

The 2023 GLC has significantly enhanced on and off-road attributes, perfect for diverse weather conditions and off-road journeys. These enhancements include a simplified off-road screen operation, better visibility with the "transparent engine hood," and superior traction and handling safety thanks to improved stability systems and an impressive 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

Comfort and Agility

Key elements of the GLC's dynamic chassis design include a new four-link front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension. This standard suspension arrangement delivers an improved ride with better comfort, agile handling and overall driving pleasure, aided by an amplitude-dependent damping system.

Exterior Design

The GLC's exterior combines classic SUV features like a simulated chrome underguard, roof rails, and optional running-boards, with new contoured edges. The redesigned headlamps that directly connect to the radiator grille and accentuate the vehicle's width are a highlight. These, paired with optional DIGITAL LIGHT, feature daytime-driving ellipses in addition to the familiar "torch." The chrome-surrounded radiator grille adds an extra touch of style.

Interior Design

Mercedes-Benz continues its tradition of modern, sporty luxury with the GLC's interior. The brand-new dashboard features a portrait-style 11.9-inch centre display with a new MBUX infotainment system as well as a new steering wheel with dual horizontal spokes and digital controls.

Wind Resistance

The GLC showcases significant aerodynamic improvements with a minimum drag coefficient of Cd = 0.29, making it notably better than its predecessor. This improves not only efficiency, but also lowers wind noise on the road and thus makes the GLC more comfortable.

Impressive MBUX

The latest generation MBUX infotainment system comes standard within the centre display. Its voice assistant, "Hey, Mercedes," is more dialogue-capable and learning-equipped. Moreover, the GLC doubles as a mobile control center for the home, thanks to the MBUX Smart Home function.

Entertainment

MBUX fully integrates major music streaming providers, tailoring personal preferences and settings. A new Newsflash feature allows access to individual news categories like business, sport, or culture with the keyword "Hey, Mercedes." Additionally, the optional BurmesterŽ surround sound system delivers a unique listening experience with 15 premium speakers and a total output of 710 watts.

Assistance Systems and Comfort Features

The latest generation Intelligent Drive package boasts additional and enhanced functions like Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist. The GLC improves on many details, such as an enhanced ambiance lighting system and a new panoramic sunroof with a slimmer cross-strut for a significantly improved feeling of spaciousness.

Ideal Partner for Trailer Operations

The GLC proves to be an ideal towing partner with features like the new trailer menu and the towing route planner. Further advanced functions aim to make towing as safe and pleasant as possible. You can pre-select the trailer size and the navigation system will assist you with your trip, among multiple other features.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is available now and promises a superior driving experience. Its enhanced features ensure maximum comfort, safety, and performance, making it a highly anticipated addition to the Mercedes-Benz lineup.
